KAMA SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION 2009-2010

1. All medical students in good standing are eligible.
2. The completed application must be received in the KAMA office by October 15, 2009.
3. The determination of scholarship winners will be determined by the scholarship committee based on its proposed use for scientific, community, and/or other healthcare related projects.
4. Each scholarship will be $2000.00 and a total of 2-5 scholarships will be awarded.
5. Those awarded a scholarship must be able to attend the annual KAMA meeting in both 2009 and 2010.
6. The awardees must give a power point presentation at the 2010 annual KAMA meeting describing how the scholarship was utilized.

2008 KAMA Convention was Successfully Completed

The 2008 KAMA Convention & Scientific Meeting was successfully completed, with close to 200 passengers enjoying the scientific program and the cruise. KAMA would like to thank everyone who made the trip possible.

KAMA Visited World Medical Association General Assembly Meeting in Seoul

President Dr. Daniel Kim and KAMA delegates met with KMA president Dr. Choo, president of the World Medical Association and the AMA delegates to WMA. They had a chance to discuss common medical ethics issues that plague health care systems throughout the world. For more info, visit http://www.wma.net

Dr. John Yun, AMA liaison, and Dr. Daniel Kim, KAMA President, attended the AMA delegate meeting in Chicago this June. This is the first time KAMA representatives attended this meeting as delegates with voting power. KAMA highly encouraged all its members to fully support AMA by becoming AMA members.
